Unexpected twists & turns – that’s what I’ve been experiencing these days. I’m going to pen down whatever I’ve experienced in life. Yes, few more years before I work on Big K’s autobiography.
The thought of writing autobiography popped up in my mind while I was driving back from a local musical instruments shop. Few weeks ago, my electric guitar got its volume control jammed. I took the guitar to the shop from where I had bought it 2.5 years ago. The shop owner told me that the volume control will have to be replaced and it will take him 3 days to get the new volume control. I had called up the shop after 3 days and I was told that the volume control was not available in city; so it was ordered from the guitar manufacturer.
Finally, after 3 weeks, I got a phone call from the shop owner that my guitar was ready. I drove my car to the shop. My guitar was ready. We tested it using a Cube & it was all fine. I went to the counter where uncle (shop owner) was sitting. I asked him the amount I’ve to pay for the replaced part & the total service charge. I was shocked by his answer.
“Nothing” he said. 😯
I insisted that uncle should accept the payment as the part was replaced. He was firm – ‘No’!. “We cannot accept money from you as it took longer than expected”. 😯
Boy! What a scene! For the first time in my life, I was facing a situation where the customer was eager to pay & the shop owner was refusing. Height of customer care! Uncle (shop owner) had never charged me anything for all the repairs & services. He does it all for free. Why? I don’t know. I insisted that he should at least charge me for the replaced part. Nothing helped. I had to come back home without paying anything. Boy, I was embarrassed.
That’s just a small incidence that happened yesterday. I’ve met really amazing people all my life & I’m going to write about them. I’m going to write about all the good/bad experiences I’ve had in life. 🙂
You will enjoy it.
