Samne Ye Kaun Aaya – Karaoke Recording

by The Big K on March 3, 2008

Ever since I found out Open Source project Audacity – my life has changed. With its multi-track recording facility, its the best free solution available for those who want to setup a recording studio in their own computer.

I found a Karaoke track on the Internet (it was available for free download). Recorded my vocals and mixed the tracks using Audacity. The result is available below. Please do let me know your comments and feedback :)

    Very nicely sung.

Great utility – audacious coupled with Karaoke tracks.

I recently tried my hands on audacious. And I wanted to ask if you knew something about adding effects.

If you recall there is a song by Kishore picturised on Kaka – Kora Kagaz Tha Yeh Mann mera. In that initially Kishoreda does ‘e he e he aa ha hm hm aa haa ha’.
Now the echo in this can be added from the effects in audacious. But the initial part also has got an effect as if that is recorded in a very small room. How to add such a deep effect. The effect of which I speak is also present in Lata Mangeshkar song ‘ Aayega Aayega.’
