India’s Real Problem

I have been a part of numerous group discussions & coffee-room debates. In fact, I love to participate in anything that involves various thoughts from various people from various backgrounds.

Whenever people discuss a social issue, the discussion invariably ends after putting the blame on our politicians and our huge population. Most of us have an opinion that the ‘system’ cannot or never will be changed and we are headed for a great debacle. I guess politicians or our population isn’t the real problem that India is facing.

In my opinion, India’s real problem is lack of patriotism in her people. I am convinced that we, The Indians, need to reinvent our patriotism.

Do you agree?

Is it the real problem? You know the thing is, that patriotism comes only in times of need. Like the revolution … what we do not recognize is that very need. So the question now turns into – Where is the threat to India?

I disagree with “patriotism comes only in times of need”.

If only we were patriotic, we’d not spit on roads, break traffic rules, accept bribes, copy from west etc.

Threat to India. Hmm. Let me think.
