Lots of IT guys love to switch jobs for the heck of better ‘package’. I’ve observed, the first time resigners
find it incredibly difficult to write resignation letter. In order to help those poor souls, I’ve come up with a resignation letter template. All you have to do is replace the brackets <> with appropriate content.
To: <yourboss@company.com>
Email Subject: Letter of resignation
R/Sir,
Please accept this email as a notification that I wish to resign from the position of <blah> with <company> effective from <date>.
This was not an easy decision to make. Past <duration> have been very rewarding. I enjoyed working for you and being a part of a [or managing a] very successful team. I do hope our paths cross again in the future.
Sincerely,
<you>

Oh, new blog look! Man.. How long have I been away from the net? *scratches head*
You also added your pic. You look so young! I’ve always imagined you to be… “dibert” like..
Oh come on, I’m so like 26.5 years old now.
I never wrote a resig letter during my first switch and so thought of writing one when decided to conclude my small stint at second organization.. It looked something like this,
Hi /,
I am writing to you today to officially tender my resignation from the post of at , effective .
I have decided that it is time to move on as I have accepted a position elsewhere. This was not an easy decision and took a lot of consideration. However, I am confident that my new role will help me move towards my goals and will fuel my career aspirations.
Please be assured that I will do all I can to assist in smooth transfer of my responsibilities before leaving. I wish both of you and every good fortune and I would like to thank you for having me as part of the great team.
Thanks once again.
Regards,
