You paid the fees.

You studied on your own and cleared the exams.

The college is run by big businessmen who have lot of money.

No way i don’t donate money to college. Specially to private colleges. As now a days education becomes business.
And so many businessman are investing their money in colleges and schools. In particular my college they are already collecting a huge amount of money via fees, penalty and other service charges..
We can think about donate money if they are going to use them for benefit of student or college development otherwise no way.

Those who feel like donating money should take a peek into the ‘SECRET’ rooms in every college where the black market of admission-via-money takes place. Before letting you in, they check your pockets for mobile phones with camera, take them away and also check whether you have any spy camera on you :d….

In BVP,Pune the no. of students from outer states is 90% and marathi students are only 10% [Engineering Streams].That shows how much this black market has spread its roots all over India. My friends have themselves met AGENTS in different states who give guaranteed admissions in best colleges all over pune.

What has Maratha and non Maratha to do anyway here?? In that case even Bangalore can yell out saying other states people are more here than we. I think post is about Donating Money, its each financial status and decision to do it . Obviously college management would not expect you to shell out Rs100 from your pocket as donation right? they expect solid donation something what many of us cant afford and self decision, if you are very dear and are obliged by services what college provided then you can go ahead and do it, why get racism here?

The reason I would not donate money is the college people always have their tummies and mouth full of money The management always get the extra notes on behalf of fines and management quota, etc

Instead I would like to give gifts to the teachers that took pain and still never got their due

my college is most probably the WORST ever in case of guzzling money from the poor naive students. When i entered I paid 65000 in all (hostel messing college fee). Now I’m in 4th yr and the freshers are paying to the tune of 1.3 lakhs p.a. It really pisses me off coz whatever the college advertises in their nice looking brochures is actually a big fat lie. We dont have 50% of the facilities mentioned there and there is no hope we wud see a swimming pool in our campus before we pass out (let alone swim in it).

Rather than paying the college money directly, we are thinking of giving the money to our juniors when they organize the college techfest in the form of alumni sponsorship aid. At least, they will put it to better use than the fat bellied liars n theives who call themselves the “management”.

I’d rather take the money and do some thing for the deserving candidates. Instead of donating money to the college, I’d like to sponsor a child’s education. One child who has the capacity to be a world class engineer but do not have the budget to do it.

I just come to know about one college which is forcing student to pay more money under the name of development fee.

Now say what Student can do? If they are oppose then they are going to cancel the classes.

my college had given me great financial aid so I do donate a little back (like $20 a year) When I make more money, I might donate more. My donation form has a section where you can specify where the money goes to (financial aid or unspecified) and I always choose financial aid. Otherwise, the school would spend the money on like unnecessary lawnmowing.
