“Government of India, in its 11th five year plan has proposed 7 new IIMs in India. These IIMs will come up in the states of Jammu and Kashmir,Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh (Raipur), Uttarakhand and Haryana[25], Tamil Nadu. “The new IITs will come up in Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Orissa, Gujarat, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and at Indore in Madhya Pradesh.”

I’ve a suggestion to Indian government. Why not name every MBA school as IIM-<cityName> & every Engineering college as IIT-<cityName>? That way, the overall quality of education will go high and we will produce world-class MBAs & Engineers right away! We’ll become a nationa of talented in-duh-viduals in just no time!

With the way things are going they might eventually end up doing just the same.

Of course then you can remind people where they read it first and you can claim to have given the idea and take the credit for your suggestion. 🙂

All it is going to do is get the sheen off the IITs and IIMs.

I dont think it is bad news by the way!

No IIMs or IITs to Maharashtra??especially after being the no 1 (as per Govt. itself) state.
