As far as i know our judicial system is below the government… If we need a better judicial system it should be parallel to the government… and any decisions taken should be independent n unaffected by the politicians, industrialists, etc. Only then can there be hope for our judicial system to flourish.

Charater is most important for a judge. Controversy after controversy is not going to help the Indian Judiciary in any way. Appointments should be purely on merits and no caste consideration should be made during these appointments. For instance, in the case of TAMIL NADU, you had a fleet of cases against Justices V. Ramaswamy, Veerasamy, Jagadeesan, Ashok Kumar, Kannadasan and now Dinakaran. Even among the serving Judges, particularly a lady by name Banumathi is apparently involved in the conversion racket. She belongs to the Jesus Calls society who has already converted her personal staff (from hearsay) and travels to the fishing hamlets to oversee “work in progress” in the guise of prayers. Besides in her personal life, she is living with her husband, her daughter (the one born to her and her husband), her sister and another daughter born to her sister and husband. In other words, she has truly upheld the TN traditions. Ironically she calls the CM %u201CAPPA%u201D meaning FATHER and prostrates before him. Blessed as she is has been given four Government housing allotments. There are quite a few like her who have all come in on caste considerations. God save TAMILNADU and the Judiciary, people’s last hope.

@amandeep – Isn’t Indian judiciary system based on British system?

There’s some reason why so many people don’t believe in it. It has failed to live up to the expectations of so many Indians. It definitely needs a complete overhaul.

constitution of india is the best in the world. but the pillars of democratic system of india are biased. it is a human nature. law is only for those who are awakened but when judiciary is itself answerable then they bacame gods with banner as written in hidden need not answer on it. class consiousness pays major role in the minds of hon’ble judges they are gods and being a simlple human being i am saying it with responsibility keeep up indian judiciary weldone good work until and unles i will get power.

Interesting. Almost no one believes in Indian Judiciary system!

Even the supreme court judges refused to disclose their property. There’s no reason for us to trust them.

But I too. not efficient but not effective .
Many cases long till the persons dispute solved or sometime it is pending or some other funda !!
