Why do Kenyans win Indian Marathons?

by The Big K on December 7, 2009

I’m sick of watching Indians lose Indian marathons. I’m not a marathoner, but come on guys; those of you who run; can’t you just run better to win it?

Can anyone tell me why do people from Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia etc. win Indian marathons?

Its their legacy. More red blood cells. Even their hair is different, which accounts for higher heat dissipation. Being born in Africa gives them that added edge to become sportsmen where stamina is the edge.
Being born in India gives us the edge to become pencil pushing yuppies where “sophisticated thinking” is the edge.
Its a fact!!

Its not their legacy. The bottom line is its the legacy of the Indians. Indians are peace loving people and do not mind if the opponent won a game. After all “Khel Khel mein har jeet tho hota hi hai”.

In this spirit, India has lost matches after Sachin scored a brilliant hundred and in the same spirit Indians continue to let Kenyans win Indian marathons.

Guys, protectionism is not the answer to this. You protect something only because you are afraid of getting trumped. Thats like the fish who stays in a bowl saying, I am the biggest fish here … throw him in the sea and he gets eaten up. This is the exact attitude which stops growth of a nation.
