…to see parents still advising their children to leave India as soon as possible because there’s no future for them here. I guess they are secretly trying to fulfill their dream that they didn’t follow passionately.
But its somewhat true you know. Besides the mainstream careers, if you wish to pursue a off-beat career, then India is not the place. People talk, friends talk, everyone breathes down your neck … until you manage a huge success .. then they start talking again.
Yeah, that’s right. But how many of those who can’t decide their career on their own really opt for off-beat careers? I’m specifically talking about people who follow their parent’s advise. Most of the times, even parents are clueless about the career they recommend to their kids (e.g. Software Engineering).
Yeah I couldn’t agree less. Even my father had once accepted the fact that he would have been very happy to send me to US for further studies (by opting for GRE). He wondered why I didn’t see any point in doing so when almost every one else was keen to go. But I was eventually able to make him understand
or may be its the hardships what they faced which tend them to be over protective about thier kids furture makes them believe that its thier responsibility .
My neighbour told this to my mom who was obviously confused about my future ” lket them be there, they are happy their , we could not get so much good back in thsoe days.. our kids being happy is what we want”.
so see, the problem is not with them, the problem lies with the kids, when kids protray that they would earn well and be happy well overseas , parents are fine with it. But on other hand if we can convince them the benifits of satyaing in INDIA and justify it, I beleive they would be more than happy.

I think otherwise. The future is here. Very soon we might see Americans coming here.
… and we will kick their ass
and Amen to that, Mayur !!
I hope we all work hard to make it a reality soon…
