Rahul Gandhi Travels By Local Train in Mumbai

by The Big K on February 5, 2010

TV News channels are saying that Rahul Gandhi is daring Shiv Sena by taking up Local Train in Mumbai. I wonder how is he daring Shiv Sena. He’s got 100 armed body guards around him and its almost impossible to break the security circle (touchwood!).

Its being said that the train journey was completely unscheduled. Did Rahul Gandhi stand in line along with all UP/Biharis in the line to buy the ticket (did he buy a ticket, anyway?)? If not, he should have; to really understand the problem Mumbaikars face.

PS: I’m getting bored of covering TV news through this blog. DUH! TV sucks big time!

Disgusted Kaustubh disgusted.

So Mumbaikars’ real problem is standing in train ticket line with UP/Biharis?

Is that because they are lesser than you are?

Oh come on! UP/Biharis are NOT lesser than I.

See, what I’m saying is when the cup is full, you can’t add more tea to it.

PS: Looks like Rahul Gandhi bought a ticket to the local train. :D

Do you think only UP/Biharis are the extra tea? Are there people migrating from other parts of the country to Mumbai in hordes? What about from other parts of Maharashtra? Is a Bihari less welcome than say a person who’s migrated from Ratnagiri?

Around 300 families from UP/Bihar alone migrate to mumbai everyday. Please explain where are we going to accomodate this horde of duping taxidrivers, chain snatchers ,eve teasers, egoist dirty people. Rahul Gandhi the self and media proclaimed hero never talks of Kashmir, Why does he never say we are united against terrorist. He is the dirtiest politician with the cleanest image. What Balasaheb Thackeray said was never wrong. Also pls explain why is Rahul G. dividing army and nsg on linguistic basis.Jai Hind,Jai Maharashtra!1

Without being both modest and extravagant, I think sooner or later, Rahul Gandhi is going to become the prime minister of India. Not because he is a good guy, which he might or might not be. But his publicity stunts and diplomatic ways are really making a mark on the minds of the common people.

And by the way I do believe he defeated Shiv Sena in their own game.

PS: I wonder why Amit Sharma comments on Superblog.

Well about Rahul being surrounded by bodyguards, I think it was just fair. C’mon tell me which popular face(bollywood celeb, politician, business tycoon, cricketer) can travel in a crowded place without security? The thing is that HE DID BOARD A TRAIN, whether or not with security, whether or not as a part of political strategy.

@ML: So, what’s so special about him boarding a train?

I really am confused why everyone is going gaga over Rahul Gandhi. It is not that his train trip was spontaneous. It was carefully planned beforehand . He has done nothing heroic by coming to Mumbai in a helicopter then surrounded by his mini army of security guard entering the train.Hell we do that everyday!(minus the security). If he has the guts guts let him board the virar local at 6.30 at dadar and get down at borivali at 7.15(‘course minus security)Then absolutely without a doubt i will vote for him.(And remember Balasaheb Thackeray has himself traveled innumerable times in a train .)Please respond

“this horde of duping taxidrivers, chain snatchers ,eve teasers, egoist dirty people”

Perfect. All the 300 families (your figure) migrating to Mumbai from UP/Bihar fall into this category? Just perfect.

You have to understand that Mumbai is full beyond it’s limits.Imagine your city ……For years the natives have been living there the due to increased monetary benefits in your city About 200 families from maharashtra come there(And the 300 figure is official) They sleep on your steets, take a dump outside your building on the road which has been built by your taxes, form unions in cabs and auto services, abuse the natives, then leaders from Maharashtra come there and give inflammatory speeches? How would you feel honestly? You should travel in the morning in the local train to know the plight of the honest tax payers here. There are many north indians living here since decades decently paying taxes and living amiably with the natives. But this new hoard of “youth” and in parcel their polynumeric families families coming hereare tearing the city apart.I don’t say stay out of mumbai. Please come as a tourist we’ll welcome you but you have to leave ,you can’t just stay.Pls respond
