I like the evergreen ‘Imagine’ song by John Lennon. I’m a dreamer too. Lot of extra thinking during my lazy days has changed my perspective towards everything. I changed my dreams & aims from becoming a software superstart in IT industry to creating someone on my own and creating employment, great work environment, creating wealth for others. While my dreams are still dreams; working on my dreams have made me swim upstream.
When you swim against the dream; you can’t fulfill the expectations others have from you. But if I become half successful in achieving my goals; I’d fulfill everyone’s dreams – even those who aren’t directly associated with me. Today, I dream of creating heaven out of a tire 3 city which I love; and I’m quite sure if I tell my plans to anyone – they’ll call me an idiot. But I convince myself by imagining following dialog –
Bill Gates (in 1975): We’ll have our software installed on every personal computer in the world.
Normal Person: Shut up, idiot. No one uses computers.
Steve Jobs (in 2000): We’ll sell personal music players all over the world.
Normal Person: Huh! Why don’t you just go get a Sony Walkman?
There is one thing I really enjoy while following my dreams:- Every day is exciting (of course there are low-days, but that’s normal). I just hope I become successful because that will fulfill many dreams, including mine
I’m a dreamer. But I hope I’m not the only one. I hope there are others who are as idiots as I am.
