Rajnikanth ROBOT Movie Review

So, as I mentioned in my previous post, I saw the movie ROBOT starring superstar Rajni. I’m not going to do a typical review by telling you about the actors, directors, plot just to make my post lengthier. You can read it all here:

Let me tell you my opinion about the movie right away. First thing, this movie is lengthy. On a second note, it has to be a lengthy movie because it’s like a ‘Puja’ for all Rajni fans. Rajni appears on screen after long gaps and he can’t just go away in <2 hours. Like in previous Rajni movies, I was expecting a ‘grand’ entry for Rajnikanth, but Rajni’s there on the screen right from first minute (to the last).

In my opinion (and I dare say), this is not a typical Rajnikanth movie. I missed his typical style and┬ádialog┬ádelivery. He was just awesome, like a king (and he is THE KING). But there were no special ‘natural’ moves for Rajni. Apart from this, the songs are pain in the ear (Sorry, A.R. Rehman) but a treat to the eyes (by which I refer to the locations & not Aishwarya Aunty). Everything else is fine and fast enough to keep you glued to the screen.

Finally: This is a Rajni movie and you must watch it in theatre. You’ve no option. Movie minus the songs would fetch a rating of 4/5 from me.

Watched it…and though this does not seem to be his usual film, the special effects are really cool. Loved rajni in his villainous avatar after a long time. A super fun movie. Needed this one after watching loads of NRI based films. DOT!
