Why Did Pune Get All The Hype?

…because of ‘Punekars’, who believe the world = Pune.

I’m really getting sick of people comparing their ‘lifestyles’ with people living in other cities. Upon analysis, I figured out the following –

Punekar’s brag about everything with authoritative voice including traffic, ‘Pune Life’, Pot holes on the roads, polluted weather and what not –>> Mindless Idiots listen to them and start trusting them because they don’t have opinion, ideas of their own. –>> They too, begin boasting about ‘Pune’ –>> They look down on people living in other cities and refer to other cities as ‘Jungle’ –>> Pune hype continues.

Shittt!!

The way you write about Pune, one would think you had some really bad experience.

BTW, I’m yet to meet one such person who thinks Pune is the best city and the rest are villages.

On the other hand, you meet some Delhiites…

@Amit: I've met many people who've been 'laughing' at my decision of not settling in Pune and choosing a place where I can cut down costs, commuting time and be in control of my schedule (Don't know how to put this!).

Punekars have this habit of glorifying everything 'Pune' and looking down on others. Comparison, most of the times is bad and I'm against it. I don't have any problem with people who glorify Pune (I think everyone has rights to brag about whatever they want); but don't say negative things about my city. That's all I want to say.

About the bad experiences, I'm 100% sure I'm not the only one. It's just that I do not ignore them like others.

I dont have any complaints about Pune, the city. But I'm 1000% sure that Punekars are the sickest people on earth. Shit!
