Why We Don’t Watch Marathi Movies

One word answer: Quality.

Come on! I have come to conclusion that Marathi cinema makers make movies for the village-people. We don’t want to go to a multi plex to watch the story of a village boy who handles his village politics.

We don’t want to spend money on “AGADBAM”, which has practically nothing new to offer (and I could guess that just by watching the trailer).

Make quality movies and Marathi movies will shine. Yes, you can make awesome marathi movies with a very limited budget (is that an issue anymore?). Have an awesome story and we’ll come. Offer us something new.

If you can’t get anything original in your mind, just remake movies from south. They do it much better than Marathi, I guess.

No double views, you are 100% right. Marathi people doesn’t make quality movies, their movie style is of 50’s and sometimes they show unnecessary over exaggeration to modernization by view of a villager.
