Note: Following posts presents thoughts which not mine. However, I decided to publish them because I think the lecture by Rajiv Dixit makes sense.
Since yesterday, I’ve been frantically searching for lectures by this man named ‘Rajiv Dixit’. Rajiv Dixit is no more, but his lectures and line of thinking is really thought provoking. The truth is not what we see with eyes. Truth always needs to be ‘unearthed’. For a majority of us, ‘truth’ is something that the ‘truth-makers’ show us. I recommend all of you to listen to the lecture delivered by Rajiv Dixit, just few days after the 9/11 attack on USA (included at the end of this post). I’m going to pick up the main points for those who’re reading this post from their offices where YouTube is blocked. Do read and share your views with me. I read all your comments.
Rajiv Dixit starts by mentioning that he’s studied American economy for several years and found out that their economy is ‘war-economy’. The maximum investment America does is in its companies which are directly or indirectly related to the war industry – includes Oil, Engines, Planes and many others. Now, these companies manufactures weapons and war equipments, ships, fighter jets and so on. Now if they don’t sell these weapons, the war economy gets into trouble and disturbs the other dependent industries.
Dixit further says that he identified a 25-30 year cycle that US goes through. The first major recession struck USA between 1905-10. In order to recover, they initiated the first world war. The WWI helped them recover from the first major recession. The second recessions, “The Great Economic Recession” struck USA in 1930 – which resulted into planting the seeds of second world war. Dixit goes on to say that Perl Harbour was plotted by USA to gain sympathy and a reason to attack Japan. US supplied the weapons to all the countries involved in WWII and it helped them recover from the recession. Dixit claims that few of the independent reporters from USA exposed this fact but they were silenced.
Then came 1980, and the economic recession struck again. So US had to sell their weapons once again. This time they targeted Iraq & Iran. Washington Post published a post saying there are huge oil reserves in the ‘no man’s land’ between Iraq & Iran. Oil reserves means lot of cash – and both countries (that have similar origins) got into war. The war lasted several years and millions died. Now, the weapons for the war were supplied by USA – and it helped them recover from the economic recession. The UN declared that the oil to be distributed equally between two countries (simple solution, right?). Naturally, the company that was given the contract to dig out the oil reserves was given to (as expected) American company. The company, after 3 years of digging declared that there’s no oil.
By the time, Saddam Hussain found out that it was USA playing games with them. So US declared war against them in the name of ‘discovering’ Chemical Weapons in Iraq. We all know that there were no chemical weapons found in Iraq and there was no reason for USA to attack and assassinate Saddam Hussain. America told the world that Saddam was an incredibly bad guy and he had to be sentenced to death.
Now the cycle’s repeated – and US saw another recession. They had to declare war against someone and again, attacking itself was the sure-shot way of finding a scapegoat. Rajiv Dixit claimed that US plotted the 9/11 attack on their own and then declared the war against al-quaeda and Osama Bin Laden. The rest, is known to everyone. I wrote a post asking why America killed their #1 enemy so silently and mysteriously, which received lot of response.
