Shalom!

Few weeks ago, I received an email from Ori introducing the ‘Once In A Lifetime 2.0’ project. At first, I thought it was just another mail and almost hovered the cursor over the ‘delete’ button. It seems that destiny had something great planned for me and I decided to read the mail again and then replied to it affirmatively. What followed turned out to be a ‘life changing’ experience for me and I can’t thank you enough for it. Yet, with my limited vocabulary, all I can say is thank you for the ‘Once In A Lifetime 2.0’ experience!

Once In A Lifetime Israel Friends

Once In A Lifetime Israel Friends

I’m back to my routine after spending 11 wonderful days of my life with you and it feels I spent 11 years! I never thought I’d get so close friends in such a short time and memories to cherish all my life. I thought of sharing all my experiences through this blog in first 2-3 days after my return; but now it seems that no matter how many posts I write, I’ll always have something more to write. I decided to write this letter on my flight back to India and publish it after I’m done writing all other posts; but later changed my mind to publish this post on this special day – the start Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah. Shana Tovaah!  I’m confident that the new year will bring joys and prosperity to all of you. I also wish that the new year will bring peace that you all seek for your country.

Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to explore your country. It was a great learning experience for me and of course, we had great fun together! Thank you for excellent planning and execution of everything. It couldn’t have been any better. Of course, special thanks for going out of the way for my ‘100% veggie’ needs. It means a lot!

Finally, I enjoyed Israel! Awesome country with awesome people! It’s my second home!

The Big K

Big K you are truly a “big” person! “Big” in the way you are open to new experiences and in the way you have opened your heart to all of us.  I feel honored to meet you, and thank you for your kind words that touched all of us.

Someone once wrote: “People in our world are like rain-drops. Some of them slide and disappear in the ocean and others absorbers in the land and leave their mark on it”.
This project and the people I met because of it, left their mark in my heart. The way you feel now, and the memories we created together and shared, made all the hard work through the year most defiantly worth it, and I will cherish them forever.
Hope we will meet again someday in Israel…
Happy Rosh Hashanah! May it be a new year full of happy memories for all of us.
