I’ve found out a ‘master stroke’ that will ensure that you win any argument. The beauty of this ‘stroke’ is that it works in almost any situation, no matter where you are and with whom you’re arguing. The stroke is very easy to play as well. But it comes at a cost – and this cost is your ‘intelligence’. The more intelligent you are, the more is the cost that you end up paying. Because this stroke demands that you become stupid (temporarily, to win the argument).
How To Win Any Argument In The World?
When the other party seems to be winning, you put a winning end to it by asking a very vague question making it part of the argument. Why does it work? Because you’re nullifying the basic force behind the argument. An argument typically is the fight of intelligence aka the fight of the brains. But when you play your master stroke, you totally demolish the expectation of the opponent by getting down to a level the opponent can’t expect. Do it by asking a random, vague question.
Let me prove this to you with an example –
Let’s say you and your opponent are arguing over “Is the glass half full or half empty?”. Naturally, you’ll first bring out the best of your thought-weapons. But if the opponent gets an edge over you in the argument; drop the atom-bomb with a vague question in the argument like “But why??“. Notice the emphasis on ‘why’.
Now, the opponent will be speechless for few seconds; thinking what’s the exact question that he needs to answer. But since your question does not make any sense, your opponent will lose more time, and then more and then more and he’ll leave the argument. You’ll have to use a little of your brain to come up with such random question or if you’re too dull; use that ‘But why??’ thingy to get your winning edge.
I’ve lost several such arguments. Experience made me wiser.
