Totally Inspiring Quotes

If you are experiencing down-times and need a temporary boost to your motivation levels, I’ve a collection of quotes that I found on Srujan Patel‘s blog. I’ve picked the ones that appealed to me below.

“Running a startup is like being punched in the face repeatedly, but working for a large company is like being waterboarded.” – Paul Graham (co-founder of Y Combinator)

Yeah, it’s about how much you can take and still get up. A lot of people won’t agree with the second part of the quote because they’d already begin enjoying waterboarding. Go search WikiPedia for what exactly it is.

“Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t so you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t.” –Unknown

This quote is what I remind myself when the things aren’t going ‘right’ for an extended period of life. Hopefully I’ll jump over the fence sooner and in the process will also take more people with me on the other side. Wish me luck.

“If you live for weekends or vacations, your shit is broken.” – Gary Vaynerchuk

I always got pissed off when people sent me ‘Thank God It’s Friday (TGIF)’ emails. I never enjoyed them. Weekends are not meant for sleeping all day; but anyone who’s < 45 should use them to do something productive, fun, fulfilling etc.

If you’ve inspiring quotes, please share them below. I’m interested in reading all of them!
