Why has Kejriwal not replied to my letter?

By on Mar 2, 2014 in Wisdom | 0 comments

I decided to watch Kejriwal’s speech in UP today and he was all gunfire against Modi. During his speech, Kejriwal said that he wrote a letter to NaMo (which he has made public already) and NaMo has not replied to his mail. He questioned ‘why’? He went on to say if NaMo can’t reply to Aam Aadmi’s letter; how will NaMo react when he comes to power? Dear Kejriwal, Your argument is that NaMo has not replied to your letter and you are an ‘Aam Aadmi’. For your kind information, I’ve written a letter to you, and made it public. You have not replied to me either! I’m an Aam Aadmi too and you’re totally ignoring me. Is it that you will only respond to the ‘khaas’ TV channels who favour you? I remember you had said in a TV interview that you aren’t interested in fighting Lok Sabha elections and now we’re hearing...

Open Letter To Mr. Arvind Kejriwal

By on Jan 8, 2014 in Wisdom | 6 comments

To, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister, Delhi Date: 8 January 2014 Subject: Division of Anti-Congress Votes Through AAP Dear Mr. Kejriwal, I’ve been following the anti-corruption agitation and people’s fight for the Lokpal Bill for a long time now. I was delighted to see a fellow engineer becoming rising to become a leader and leading the anti-corruption crusade along with Hon. Anna Hazare. I instantly became your fan and started following your interviews on TV and the Internet. I also remember hopelessly returning home because I couldn’t listen to you when you had arrived in my city for a speech. I wished for your good health when you declared fast unto death. However, your recent moves and my own little study of politics leads me a different type of reality – that you are the ‘b-plan’ (backup) of Congress. Here’s the summary of my analysis:...

10 Minutes On Facebook & Things I Noticed

By on Dec 31, 2013 in Wisdom | 5 comments

I’m not a fan of social networking and haven’t been active on Facebook since majority of Indians decided to ditch Orkut. Make no mistake; I do have a Facebook account; which I had created in order to allow for ‘Facebook Login’ feature. The only page I’ve used so far is the Apps settings page and the Facebook brand page. I decided to take a break and spend some time checking out what makes Facebook so addictive. I logged in to the site and had a look at my notifications (~100+) and friend requests (from people had I ran into at various occasions). I spent some time scrolling down my wall and found few interesting things. People upload photos. People like & comment on those photos with an average of 2.35 words. Photo uploader feels good & uploads more photos. People aspire for more likes and comments on everything they upload. I realised that more...

Hum AAP Ke Hein CONgress

By on Dec 29, 2013 in Wisdom | 3 comments

Finally Kejariwal has taken the oath as the new Chief Minister of Delhi and already assumed the office. Having followed Arvind Kejariwal and having participated in the Anna Hazare led nation-wide agitation for the Jan Lokpal bill, formation of AAP came as a big surprise to me. Having read Kejariwal’s interviews that he’s a ‘common man’ who does not want to fight elections (which, by the way, looked very truthful & promising), Kejariwal forming a new political party was the last thing I’d have expected. But the reality is that Kejariwal has already became the Chief minister of Delhi – with a promise that AAP will clean up the politics by becoming a part of the system. I seriously do not know where is this heading. People said Kejariwal is the backup plan for Congress think tank; and I rejected their opinions outright. But the fact is that...

Do you still have faith in Indian judiciary?

By on Dec 7, 2013 in Wisdom | 2 comments

No matter how big of a legal mess you get into – you are more or less expected to say “I have full faith in judiciary”. But day by day, I seem to be losing faith in the so called judicial system in India. I find it incredibly ridiculous that the lady justice wearing a blindfold. I mean, why the heck on this Earth she has to go by which party adds more weight to the weighing balance. It’s kind of similar to my University – where the scoring was purely based on the number of supplements you attach to the main answer sheet – giving an impression to the evaluator that this candidate he/she is evaluating has a ‘lot to write’ – and therefore everything written in the answer sheet is correct. That’s pure bullshit! I know all of that ‘equal justice for all’ under any situation. But isn’t the system flawed? Under the...

An Invitation – That Wasn’t!

By on Nov 13, 2013 in Wisdom | 0 comments

I recently received an email from someone who wants me to come to his college and deliver a talk. It’s quite interesting and I decided to share it with all of you. Email Subject: hi Email Body: i want u to visit my college and speak up here 🙂 college name-<snipped> university greater noida 🙂 My Response: Good to hear from you. Could you let me know the event details, topic of the talk & schedule so that we can match up our calendars? It also tells me that I need to setup a page for those who want to invite me to ‘speak up’ at their college /...

Why I Don’t Donate Money To God; And You Shouldn’t Either

By on Nov 9, 2013 in Wisdom | 4 comments

Several years ago, I decided that I will not donate money to God – that is I’ll break away from the habit / temptation of offering money at temples or any holy place I visit. In short, I stopped doing business with God. I figured out that God doesn’t need money and he/she won’t really be happier if his/her overall monthly collection crosses a limit. Which means the money donated will go to the trust responsible for managing the temple and will either use it for some good deed or stack it up in vaults to be unearthed after centuries. Why not donate that money to the underprivileged or the needy? So my latest strategy is to donate money to whoever is underprivileged or needy. What I do is keep the Rs. 5 coins handy (they anyway make holes in the wallets, literally!) and hand them over to the beggars at the traffic signal. Rather than donating money in the temple,...

Can a person’s nature or character change?

By on Nov 5, 2013 in Wisdom | 0 comments

Rather than imposing my views on all my readers, I’ve decided to ask all the readers of SuperBlog to share their opinions, experiences on this question. I’ve been told that it’s almost impossible for a person to change his/her basic nature or character. The reason being that a full grown adult gets through conditioning for so many years, especially during their formative age and all things he/she experiences go through make an ever-lasting impression on their brains. It’s impossible to wipe it out and rewrite it with something better. I’m not sure if the question can be answered at all with clarity. I’m definitely not looking for scientific studies (don’t shy away from posting references though) but more interested in knowing real-life experiences. I, myself, have been trying to change my ‘quick-shot’ anger and have controlled it to...

Do allopathic medicines ever cure anything?

By on Oct 12, 2013 in Wisdom | 5 comments

Once of the latest discovery I made is that the allopathic medicines do not cure any disease! It surely was a shocking discovery! I had this vague & random ideas about the allopathic medicines – that they are the laboratory tested chemicals that enter our body, travel to the destination site via blood and start fighting the bacteria or viruses. These viruses eat, sip these chemicals and get poisoned to die or get ‘dissolved’ in them or are rendered dysfunctional. All of those beliefs were shattered after reading a few authoritative looking web pages on the Internet. I’m no doctor but I can figure out a lot of things correctly using common sense (gifted to me by Mom). So, while chatting with a doctor – I got the secret out. Here’s what happens when you take a pill to ‘cure’ your running nose. The pill acts up in your body and causes...
