I’m totally disappointed by the ‘so called’ intellectuals. The convent educated, English speaking bloggers have already began calling it “End Of Anna Hajare Era”. It’s even sad to see that they call Anna Hajare a ‘Small-Time District Leader’ who ‘Fails to see the corruption of the big leaders’. I’ve said it so many times – years of slavery has resulted into us being mental slaves. Anyone who speaks fluent English quickly becomes an authority no matter how idiot he/she is. I’ve [...]

The ongoing Lokpal mess has got me thinking – can democracy ever work? I mean, can a group of people really take a right decision? Through experience, I know the answer as ‘No’. A group may take a decision; but there’s no guarantee that a group can take a ‘wise’ decision. Ask a group of people to go and buy the best mangoes in the market and they’ll never be able to decide. The democratic system that we’ve adopted is [...]

“Can anything positive ever happen? Anna Hajare won’t be able to achieve anything. Take my word – Congress will be back to the power in next election. They’ve the ‘Money’” – said my gym trainer to me as I asked him about his opinion on the protests going on in India. Instead of fighting the enemy, people seemed to have found solace in adopting corruption as a way of life. It’s easy and gets the things done for us – the middle [...]

The Indian Government has come up with a master plan to solve the problems farmers face – Foreign Direct Investment (Inward) in retail sector. I don’t know whether I should laugh or get angry. What’s more surprising is that educated & literate people are supporting FDI in retail. You know what? We’re just sold to the fancy buzzwords; and ‘Globalization’ is the buzzword that we think is solving our problems. Other such buzzwords include ISO, CMMI and so on which [...]

I’ve observed this numerous times. Housewives *never* (yep, with asterisks!) get the credit they deserve for the work they do. The reason? Well, household chores are often treated less important than ‘going out to earn money’. Maintaining the house, keeping it clean, maintaining the monthly budget and all the related activity is considered as work-less-important than the ‘office work’. Following inequality summarizes the common belief people have towards the two types of work:- Housework < Office Work …and the beauty [...]

Until now, I believed that digital media offers huge benefits over traditional ways of advertisements. The biggest advantage – they are relevant to the content you are reading and relevant to what you’re searching on the Internet. Second, they mix well with the content so that they aren’t ‘intrusive’. Times Of India is a leading newspaper of India that seems to be preparing for the recession by making sure that the advertising revenue growth is more than ever before. As [...]

Right at this moment, I’m looking at a long list of tasks I’ve in front of me. But I’m unable to concentrate. I hate the accident sites; but I happen to pass by at least one every week. I just witnessed an accident – a guy & girl riding a motorcycle collided with another vehicle and got severely injured. The mob gathered in a second and cleared up the road – as if it’s their regular duty. The injured were made to [...]

Heard the quote from Dr. Abhay Bang of ‘Shodhgram’ in Gadchiroli. I was fortunate enough to get a chance to listen to his talk. I’m not good at translation but it roughly translates to – “Turn Your Back To The World & The World Will Automatically Stand Behind You”. Amazing! Isn’t it?

Typically, I’d refrain from buying a book that has an Indian author sporting a nice business suit. I somehow figured out the connection between authors who wear suit to the contents of their books. That connection is like this: Authors who wear suit write boring books. An example of this is the world famous book, “You Can Win”; which basically has been written for the people who think they are losers. Oh well, IIT+MBA thingy does not impress me anymore. [...]

People! I’ve Been There! Done That! Yep! I’ve been to the ‘The Dead Sea’ and floated on saltiest water at the lowest point on the Earth! Sounds incredible? Well ‘incredible’ is a small word. The best way to describe the experience of visiting the Dead Sea is not to try to describe it and go there physically to experience it. Trust me, you have to visit the Dead Sea at least ‘Once In A Lifetime‘. After having a great time [...]
