Hum AAP Ke Hein CONgress

Finally Kejariwal has taken the oath as the new Chief Minister of Delhi and already assumed the office. Having followed Arvind Kejariwal and having participated in the Anna Hazare led nation-wide agitation for the Jan Lokpal bill, formation of AAP came as a big surprise to me. Having read Kejariwal’s interviews that he’s a ‘common man’ who does not want to fight elections (which, by the way, looked very truthful & promising), Kejariwal forming a new political party was the last thing I’d have expected. But the reality is that Kejariwal has already became the Chief minister of Delhi – with a promise that AAP will clean up the politics by becoming a part of the system. I seriously do not know where is this heading. People said Kejariwal is the backup plan for Congress think tank; and I rejected their opinions outright. But the fact is that...

The Rahul Gandhi Show

By on Jul 7, 2011 in Wisdom | 7 comments

All the intellectuals know that Congress is trying hard to improve their image and Rahul Gandhi is their trump card. After losing on all fronts, Congress had to play it with the Rahul Card to gain sympathy and show people a ‘hope’ in the form of ‘young’, ‘dynamic’ leader who walks in villages, talks to farmers, eats with them and sympathizes with them. UPA is also trying to keep him in the news and have him on the TV at least for 2 – 4 hours every day. I’m watching TV right now and the ‘Samay’ channel is showing a ‘breaking news’ – a gunman entered the mob breaching the security and the security guards nabbed him. The whole purpose of the news seems to project Rahul Gandhi as the one who doesn’t care for his own security to be with common people. Rahul Gandhi, obviously, doing this for the sake of...

TOI Is Media Puppet Controlled By Congress

By on Jun 28, 2011 in Wisdom | 3 comments

I just had a glance over the posts I’ve published in recent past and most of them seem to be anti-Congress or anti-government. I’ve also commented on the serious need of independent media. India’s leading media – Times Of India seems to be losing its credibility now a days. I’m even thinking either TOI’s gone corrupt or Congress has managed to ‘buy’ TOI reporters. One recent coverage by TOI – Bitter ‘lauki’ juice can kill you, says panel confirms it. The author (unknown) goes on to link the death of a scientist to ‘Ayurved’ and ‘Baba Ramdev’ and goes on to say that the scientist who followed instructions mentioned in Ayurved and popularized by Baba Ramdev, died by consuming ‘Lauki’ juice. Congress definitely wants to destroy Yog and make people lose their faith in Baba Ramdev, who at present seems to be one of the strong Congress enemy. I’m however pleased to see the...

Should Prime Minister Be Included In Jan Lokpal?

By on Jun 21, 2011 in Wisdom | 0 comments

As expected, the government today submitted the draft of their version of Lokpal and the members of civil society submitted their own draft. It’s quite obvious that the government does not want anyone ‘above’ them and that’s why they have put forward totally insane points in their draft. From what I learn, the government wants – Government to elect the jan lokpal. Government to reserve the right to remove the lokpal Exclude the Prime Minister from purview of the lokpal MLAs & MPs to be excluded from the lokpal and can be taken action against by lokpal only when they step down from power Chief Justice of India to be excluded from lokpal I personally believe we need an independent system in this country to keep check on elected politicians and bureaucrats so that they don’t go unchained in eating people’s hard earned money. In case the final draft of lokpal bill is made as per...

Jan Lokpal Bill Twist: Congress & BJP Are United?

By on Jun 20, 2011 in Wisdom | 3 comments

The Jan Lokpal Bill in India is turning out to be more interesting that I earlier thought. It was quite apparent in the beginning that it was only the Congress party which is against the Jan Lokpal Bill and everyone else was supporting the Anna Hajare team. However, now it seems that the fight is taking a new form: It’s people vs. politicians and I clearly mean the biggest opposition party – BJP. I believe BJP is letting a golden opportunity pass in the fear of losing powers that the elected ministers enjoy. Did you all notice how BJP is keeping mum over the whole Jan Lokpal Bill? On Times Now – a leading TV channel that I follow, the panel discussion moderator asked BJP spokesperson about clarifying party’s stand on Jan Lokpal Bill. But the spokesperson avoided the question saying that they will comment only when the final draft of the bill comes to the parliament for voting. And now,...
