I’m happy to see the next edition of ‘Once In A Lifetime’ commencing very very soon! It’s called ‘Once In A Lifetime HD‘ and this time, world’s leading Instragramers will visit Israel on a 9 day, life-changing, once in a lifetime journey. I’m already high on nostalgia and can’t stop thinking about the magical trip I was a part of last year. This time, the ‘Stand With Us’ folks are inviting world’s most followed Instagramers to explore Israel through their lenses. The participants will get a chance to explore Israel in a unique way, accompanied by very talented folks from Israel. Ever since the organizers of the Once In A Lifetime 2.0 trip to Israel informed me that we’re going to get a chance to drive the electric cars developed by an Israeli company called “Better Place” – I was waiting for the opportunity. After visiting the Rogozin School in Tel Aviv, we headed to the Better Place. We were welcomed by the company representatives who escorted us to a tiny movie theater inside the campus. We saw a short movie about the pollution problems of the world and how Electric Cars can offer a solution. It was quite an interesting presentation by the CEO of Better Place (all video). Our licenses were picked up by the officials for registrations and in about 5 minutes, we were ready to zoom the cars! We split into groups of 3 and headed to our cars. The cars are left-hand drive and it was my first time to drive a left hand drive cars. Unlike...

By on Oct 2, 2011 in Wisdom | 0 comments

The day #6 of our 11 day, Once In A Lifetime 2.0 trip to Israel began with checking out of the ‘Crowne Plaza’ hotel and clicking photos with the manager of the hotel. Remember the movie I briefly talked about in my earlier post? Yep, the movie titled ‘Strangers No More’. The movie is about a special school called “Rogozin School” in Israel. The film’s already won and Oscar for Best Documentary Short Subject. Here’s a trailer of the movie – Our Visit To The Rogozin School The Rogozin School in Tel Aviv, Israel is a special school with students from over 48 countries. Most of the kids who study in this school aren’t Israelis. Vast majority of the students aren’t Jewish, either. Yet, lot of parents send their kids to this school because of its uniqueness. What’s more interesting is that some of the kids who study at...

To Keren, Ori, Omri, Tomer, Yevgeni, Mor, Mayan, Maya, Maxim, Liora, Keren-Or, Ilya, Hen, Ephraim, Dov, David, Aviva, Anat and Jonny Shalom! Few weeks ago, I received an email from Ori introducing the ‘Once In A Lifetime 2.0’ project. At first, I thought it was just another mail and almost hovered the cursor over the ‘delete’ button. It seems that destiny had something great planned for me and I decided to read the mail again and then replied to it affirmatively. What followed turned out to be a ‘life changing’ experience for me and I can’t thank you enough for it. Yet, with my limited vocabulary, all I can say is thank you for the ‘Once In A Lifetime 2.0’ experience! I’m back to my routine after spending 11 wonderful days of my life with you and it feels I spent 11 years! I never thought I’d get so close friends in such...
